This General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS) repeater has been assembled and installed to help Volusia County add another layer of communication flexibility.

GMRS repeaters can help in coordinating community events, providing another avenue for families to communicate, and in times of disaster they are a tremendous help in providing an alternate method to communicate if the cellular system is no longer functioning or is overwhelmed by Users.

GMRS repeaters have proven their value to communities time and time again. The DeLand 600 Repeater will help fill a real need in the City of DeLand and Volusia County for such a resource.
